“As the technical manager at Sint-Trudo Hospital, I am always looking for technologies that improve our processes and save costs. Recently, I came into contact with Holland Water and their water treatment system HW Bifipro®,” says the Head of the Technical Department.

“This system not only provides extra security for water quality, but also helps us significantly reduce our gas bill by lowering the temperature of the hot water supply. After thorough research and a positive efficiency study, involving all relevant departments, we decided to purchase this system. Following a detailed installation plan, there was a calibration phase in which we closely monitored all drinking water parameters and integrated the HW Bifipro® system into our existing measures. Regular flushing and maintenance of tapping points remains crucial to ensure the effectiveness of the copper and silver ions.”

Temperature reduction for all buildings

He continues: “When the results were positive, we stopped the nightly thermal shocks and carefully lowered the temperature in a specific part of the hospital. After periodic checks, we further reduced the temperature for all buildings. Of course, without any loss of comfort for the patients. Our water samples remain under control so far.”
