We carry out the management services in accordance with current legislation: the guidelines of the Drinking Water Decree, Regulation on Legionella Prevention in Drinking Water, BRL 6010, NEN 1006, ISSO manual 55.1 and, where applicable, the Occupational Health and Safety policy rule 4.87.
A check valve ensures that water in a drinking water installation flows in only one direction, preventing stagnant water – which carries an increased risk of legionella contamination – from flowing back into your drinking water system. It is therefore essential that check valves are inspected periodically.
During the inspection, it is checked whether the check valve closes properly as soon as the water pressure drops.
Every boiler permanently contains water, and this water usually contains lime in varying concentrations. These lime particles gradually accumulate as sediment at the bottom of the boiler, resulting in the formation of boiler sediment. A thin layer of slime, also known as biofilm, then attaches itself to this sediment. This creates the ideal breeding ground for bacteria, including legionella. That is why the sediment must be removed annually.
