Is check valve inspection legally required?
Yes, the NEN 1006 prescribes that check valves must be inspected periodically. Waterwerkblad 1.4G explains how check valves should be applied and maintained to comply with the requirements of NEN 1006.
Which inspection methods do you apply?
Three methods are used to test check valves: the standard method, the overpressure method, and the vacuum method. Using the check valve tester, an inspection can be carried out with two of the three methods: the overpressure method and the vacuum method.
Can you also replace a faulty check valve?
Absolutely. During the annual inspection of the check valves, it may become apparent that one or more check valves are defective. These check valves need to be replaced, and our engineers can take care of this for you.
