At Holland Water, we offer advanced UV-C technology for sustainable water purification. Our UV-C systems disinfect drinking water at the source by effectively killing bio-organisms, which prevents or limits the formation of biofilm in pipes. This reduces the risk of legionella colonizing the water installation.
We provide high-quality and reliable UV-C systems, backed by up to ten years of warranty. Our redundantly designed systems ensure uninterrupted water monitoring and digital tracking of system performance, water flow, and consumption. Our user-friendly and low-maintenance solutions are energy-efficient and equipped with low-pressure lamps that offer a long lifespan and high UV-C efficiency. In addition, we apply a fixed maintenance and consumption price per quarter. This ensures predictable costs and peace of mind.

By exposing the incoming mains water to ultraviolet light, (legionella) bacteria and other microorganisms are immediately killed at the entry point. This significantly reduces the risk of legionella colonizing the downstream water installation.
UV-C breaks down the DNA of microorganisms and thus destroys their genetic properties, preventing the organisms from reproducing and causing them to die off. This limits the growth of biofilm in the water installation, thereby depriving, among others, the legionella bacteria of the main breeding ground for (large-scale) colonization.
Moreover, ultraviolet light does not alter the composition of the water, has no effect on the color, odor, or taste of the water, and is free from chemicals.
Our UV-C system HW Uvidis can be used in the Netherlands for preventive management purposes in both priority and duty-of-care buildings. HW Uvidis has been developed in accordance with the BRL-14010-1/01 guideline for physical techniques.
Ultraviolet (UV) light is a type of electromagnetic radiation that lies outside the visible light spectrum for humans. UV light can be further divided into three categories: UV-A, UV-B, and UV-C, depending on the wavelength.
UV-C is specifically used for disinfection and sterilization due to its powerful ability to kill microorganisms or stop their growth.

UV-C lamps are an economically attractive way to kill the legionella bacteria. Through radiation, the bacteria are effectively eliminated.
Although UV-C is a highly effective method for removing bacteria, it is crucial to ensure that no new contamination can occur. The strength and operation of the UV-C lamp must be continuously monitored to guarantee ongoing protection.
