Sampling and analysis is a mandatory legionella control activity for priority drinking water installations and a highly recommended legionella control activity for non-priority institutions with a duty of care, as established in the Drinking Water Decree.
With the Sampling & Analysis service, your drinking water is analyzed four times a year. This ensures that you maintain control over the quality of your drinking water and comply with current regulations.

Are additional samples taken when water treatment technology is implemented?
Yes, when you implement a new water technology (for example, HW Bifipro or HW ProteQ), additional water samples are usually taken. This is done to monitor the effectiveness of the technology and to check whether the water quality meets the required standards. In the first year after installation, extra measurements are carried out in addition to the regular sampling. This intensive sampling program helps to quickly detect any legionella risks and to adjust the management plan where necessary.
The exact frequency and number of additional samples are tailored to your situation, the type of technology, and the applicable regulations. Our Solution Managers guide the process and provide advice based on the results.
What are the costs of water sampling and analysis?
The costs depend on the number of samples, the frequency, and any site visits. We would be happy to discuss this with you.
Do you also take samples for pool water and cooling water?
Yes, in addition to drinking water, Holland Water also coordinates the sampling and analysis of swimming water and cooling water.
For swimming water, parameters such as legionella, germ count, clarity, chlorine levels, and various microbiological and chemical values are analyzed.
For cooling water, the focus is on legionella, germ count, copper, zinc, and other relevant substances. The frequency and number of samples are determined based on the type of installation, the risk profile, and legal requirements.
