The Board for the Authorisation of Plant Protection Products and Biocides (Ctgb) once again confirms the efficacy and responsible use of copper and silver ionisation as an effective legionella control technique for drinking and cooling water, and extends the authorisations of the biocides HW Bifipro and HW Bifipro Cool until 1 July 2033. 

In recent years, Holland Water has conducted extensive research into possible refinements of the dosing system within Ctgb’s very strict standards for efficacy and responsible use. Leading scientific research institutes such as KWR Water Research Institute and GeoConnect have carried out various sub-studies commissioned by Holland Water. Based in part on this research, and in close consultation with the Ctgb, Holland Water will enrich the copper and silver ionisation methodology as of 1 July 2023 with new dosing variants based on intermittent dosing.

Our management techniques are certified according to Kiwa guidelines. This confirms not only the quality, but also the safety and reliability of our solutions. In addition, both we and our water experts are BRL 6010 certified. This ensures a standardized, reliable, and safe approach to legionella management, protecting the health of users and enabling companies to comply with legal and quality standards.
